This time of year, comes with tons of activities! Pumpkin patches, corn mazes and everyone’s favorite, yard work! While the leaves changing are beautiful to look at, they aren’t to fun to be raking every weekend, especially when we’re tired. There are a few things we can do to stay energized through this new season.

  • Sleep!
  • Going to bed at the same time each night does wonders for our energy, especially if we’re able to get around 7 hours of sleep every night. It sounds difficult but there’s little things we can do like putting away our phones and turning off the TV’s, that will help us fall asleep so much easier. Limiting our caffeine intake to only in the morning will also be a huge help in falling asleep at night!
  • Staying Hydrated!
  • A lot of people become tired in the afternoon assuming its because of lack of sleep, but actually, a majority of people are not drinking enough water. Next time you feel tired and want to reach for that pumpkin spice latte or cup of coffee, grab your water instead!
  • Eating Healthier!
  • A lot of times after unhealthy meal we can feel sluggish and tired, we forget that our diet plays a very big role in our energy level! Improving what we eat everyday and trying to aim for more natural and whole foods can help boost energy levels tremendously.
  • Supplements!
  • There are many supplements that help boost energy without any caffeine. Natural supplements that can help boost your daily energy are:
  • B12 and other B viatimins- give the body the tools it needs to convert food molecules into energy
  • Iron- deals with oxygen binding with red blood cells to create energy
  • CoQ10- aids in energy creation and transport
